GAS PUMP POLITICS : Soaring gas prices forced a lot of people to think twice about their energy consumption habits this past summer -- —d forced lawmakers on Capitol Hill to take a hard look at alternative energy policies. But some are worried now that falling gas prices are allowing consumers and automakers to return to the status quo.
