The number of homes entering foreclosure spiked 65 percent last month over the same period last year for a total of 243,000 properties. And now realtors are saying that foreclosed properties that sit empty are beginning to attract squatters. We speak to Marc Charney, a real estate broker from the Boston area, who says he finds squatters in 25% of the foreclosed properties he handles.
We also look at the impact of foreclosures on children. We speak to private investigator Bill Beitler of the Chicago area, who says schools are hiring him to make sure students aren't going to school in their old neighborhood, after they've been forced to move from their home.
